Henry Fording

No trip to Michigan is complete without paying respects to good ol' Henry Ford. In honor of the man who is keeping the state alive we visited the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, and the Ford Rouge Factory Tour (the location the Ford F-150 is built) Aside from a million different cars, trains, tractors, and buggies, we saw the weinerobile, rode in a Model-T rides, made paper airplanes, toured Thomas Edison's lab and saw civil war reenactments.

Our Michigan Marathon

What could be better than Tim, Rachel, and Kennedy Clawson showing us around Michigan, playing games, eating with, and home improving? not much, I submit. After going to Mississippi to help Enoch's mom restore a run down family cemetery and attending the reunion, we figured while we were out of school and as close to Michigan as we would ever be- we may as well fly there after. The following posts will showcase all the excitement of our Michigan Marathon.

The Final Countdown

Today I finally called BYU and faced my fears of when I must complete my Independent Study Classes, the countdown= 24 days. Am I afraid, yes. Do I need a deadline, oh yes I definitely need some extra motivation/ kick in the pants right about now. Do I completely loath pervasive writing, words cannot expressive my disdain. Will I totally celebrate July 22 when I am finished, you better believe it and you better believe I will finish.

I am approximately 3.5 bazillion events from the past few months I could blog about, but as for now I have my priorities.

1/3 Sane, 1/3 Finished, 1/3 world travelers

Enoch finished his first year of physical therapy on Friday with a killer neurology final. (really it was insane) I cannot believe he is 1/3 of the way done and we have lived in California this long, I am thoroughly enjoying this stage of life and I am not sure if I am ready to give it up so soon.
So what now you may ask? Well today we celebrated by going to Disneyland, tomorrow we are flying to Mississippi to assist Enoch's mom in restoring the Gunntown, family cemetery there, then we are flying to Michigan to party/ help with some projects on their new house/ site see with my sister Rachel- I cannot wait. (I will post picture and all the greatest stories when we get back) Finally Enoch will finish off this summer with a six week clinical rotation at an out patient physical therapy clinic.

Caleb's Wedding

This weekend we had the privilege to one of Enoch's roommates, Caleb's weddings. It was such a neat experience being able to be apart of his special day, someone we admire and respect so much. His bride was absolutely beautiful inside and out and their love for one another so tender and genuine. Even the San Diego temple covered with scaffolding for cleaning did not take away from the day.

Culver City Car Show

This past weekend Enoch and I ventured to our first car show ever. It was fun to see the old time cars and muscle cars but I must not fully appreciate the car show sceen yet because I could never 1) sit in the sun that long 2) shell out that kind of money for a trophy that you can't actually drive 3) know all the details down to the landfill you found the parts at.
