In the name of spontaneity, Enoch decided he wanted to go to the Manti Miracle Pageant last Thursday night. We packed some snacks, plenty of blankets, bug spray, and hoodies. We set off through the beautiful Spanish Fork Canyon and after passing threw a few tiny towns we arrived in Manti, our worries of finding the temple were soon quieted as we realized their is nothing in the town of Manti except the enormous temple.
Upon arriving at the temple grounds we scored some fantastic second row seats and awaited the presentation. We loved the message and power of the pageant despite the brief rain. It was incredible to be at the base of the temple and see the depiction of the early days of the church and some stories Book of Mormon stories interminbgled. It was very memorable to see the bursts of fire, Angel Moroni atop the temple, and the beatutiful costumes. The early Saints were truly amazing, in their dedication to the gospel, craftmanship in building, and legacy they left us. The Manti Temple is a beautiful temple I look forward to doing a session there someday.
