Super I

I really want to create posts filled with fascinating ideas and life experiences, but all I can think about are Isaac's lips- shallow I know, but when you are competing with these bad boys it is hard to focus

My Big Birthday Boy

Today is Isaac's 1st Birthday, as I reminisce about the past year I quickly become very sentimental.  I look back at Isaac's birth with such happiness, it was hard, but it was the most rewarding experience I have ever had.  I vividly remember those first few weeks with my little boy, they are sacred to me.

This past year has been revolutionary, I mastered the swaddle, I learned to bath a tiny child, I introduced fruits and vegetables, I pushed a stroller hundreds of miles, I created a routine, I watched as Isaac could hold his head up/ roll/ crawl/ stand, I changed a few diapers, and I have felt my heart has exploded with love and joy as I have caught a glimpse of the love the Heavenly Father has for each of his children. Raising Isaac this past year has given me an entirely new education, one that has changed my outlook on life and realigned my priorities.  I will forever be grateful for this first wonderful year.

Hydro-biking Baby

I haven't learned to walk on water, but this weekend I did bike on water, hydro-bike that this.  My sister gave us vouchers for Christmas to try the latest and greatest, eco-friendly, mode of transportation in Newport Beach.   Unlike a land bike where you can coast and move smoothly, you aren't going to move far if you aren't pushing on the pedals so it makes for a good workout.  But more unfortunate is the fact that I didn't beat any of the boats I challenged to races, maybe I have some hydro-bike training ahead of me.

While out inspecting all of the boats in the marina we came across 2 guys jetpack flying, believe me it is as cool as the name sounds.  Rachel thanks for the fun adventure and allowing me to boast one more crazy mode of transportation, next up jetpack flying...

Lucille came along as our trusty, super fantastic Isaac sitter.  She is the best and Isaac loves her
After hydro-biking we went to the BYU Volleyball game against Long Beach to see our loyal cougars win in 3 games to round out the night

St. Patrick's Day

My knowledge of what St. Patrick's Day is all about it very limited, but green is my favorite color and I enjoy my yearly corned beef and cabbage, so all in all St. Patty's day is a winner.  Plus about a year ago we learned that our last name, Mills is Irish, and Isaac has some red in his hair so he is pretty much a leprechaun. Here is the latest and greatest pictures of Isaac, after we snapped a few shots in his green church attire.

1st haircut

One of Isaac's defining characteristics has always been is hair. He was born with rock star hair which has gradually cooled down and become a more refined and mature comb-over
However, as comb-overs are famous for, hair malfunctions occurred.   Isaac wasn't as invested in the highly greased sophistication so instead he was left to fend for himself with a  more ruffled straggly look.
It was time for a hair cut.
Here is the before and after

While at the park Isaac had a mysterious encounter with the paparazzi, fame has its price.
